Location: Mississauga/Etobicoke, Ontario - on-site

Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, approximately 8–12 hours per shift

Pay: $25-$35/hour, based on experience

Start: Immediate availability preferred

We are hiring an experienced, reliable welder for an ongoing weekend assignment. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity for someone who can consistently commit to Saturday and Sunday shifts.

About the work

The work involves working on steel pipes, with grinding support provided by our team. We need someone with practical Stick (SMAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding experience who can produce consistent, clean welds and work safely in an active industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weld areas and carry out repairs to existing steel pipe welds.
• Perform Stick welding, preferably according to the job requirements and site instructions.
• Check completed welds and address defects or areas requiring rework.
• Coordinate with the grinding team to achieve the required finish.
• Follow site safety procedures and keep the work area organized.
• Record working hours and obtain the site supervisor’s approval.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Stick and MIG welding on steel.
• Previous pipe welding or weld repair experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to weld in different positions as required by the work.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions from the site supervisor.
• Reliable attendance and availability for both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Ability to travel reliably to the worksite.
• Relevant welding certifications are an asset.
