The Role
We're building a new cloud-first product, designed from the ground up on modern technology with AI at its core, and we're looking for a Junior Software Developer to grow with it. You don't need years of industry experience. You do need solid fundamentals, real curiosity, and evidence that you enjoy solving hard problems, whether that comes from your degree, co-op or internship terms, personal projects, or open source.
You'll join a small software development team building something new, working alongside senior software developers who will pair with you, review your code, and help you get good quickly.
How will you spend your day?
You'll write and ship real code from early on, starting with well-scoped pieces of the product and taking on more as you find your feet. You'll work on our cloud-first product on AWS and get hands-on exposure to modern AI and agentic approaches as part of everyday development, not as a side project.
Your work will be reviewed, and you'll be expected to ask questions, take feedback well, and learn fast. Over time you'll own features end to end and start contributing to how things are designed, not just how they're built.
Ready to apply? Here's what we're looking for:
- Solid programming fundamentals and a genuine interest in writing good code
- A degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Evidence that you like solving problems: school or capstone projects, co-op and internship work, personal projects, hackathons, open source, or similar
- Curiosity about cloud and AI, and enthusiasm to learn AWS and modern models on the job
- Clear communication, and the willingness to ask questions and act on feedback
- A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn from more experienced software developers
- Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Python, SQL, REST APIs, and Git. Project or internship experience counts
Nice to haves:
- Exposure to a cloud platform, ideally AWS
- Any hands-on experimentation with LLMs, AI tooling or agent frameworks, however informal
- Familiarity with version control, testing and code review in a team setting
- An interest in the energy sector, geospatial, or large-scale data
