Position Description

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management and successful delivery of complex, integrated marketing campaigns, institutional initiatives and priority projects that support George Brown Polytechnic's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple concurrent marketing campaigns, strategic initiatives, and institutional projects; develop project plans with objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and measures of success.
Translate strategic priorities and stakeholder requirements into actionable project plans and delivery schedules; establish project governance, workflows, approval processes, and manage projects through the full lifecycle.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, issues, delays, and changes to scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables; facilitate project meetings, approvals, and decision-making processes, escalating significant risks to leadership with recommendations.
Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for marketing projects and campaigns; track expenditures, forecasts, variances, and provide regular budget reporting while identifying financial risks and recommending adjustments to projects to remain within approved budgets.
Coordinate vendor estimates, quotes, procurement requirements, and contracts; manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure deliverables, budgets, timelines, and service expectations are met.
Assess resource requirements across projects; work with leadership and functional teams to establish priorities and schedules, identify resource constraints and competing priorities, and recommend solutions to support successful project delivery.
Serve as a key project management advisor to marketing leadership, senior leaders and key stakeholders across George Brown Polytechnic.
Lead the use of Notion as a project management and workflow platform for Marketing projects and campaigns.
Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Four-year diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institute in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing marketing, communications, digital or other complex cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle with accountability for scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources and stakeholder requirements.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing project budgets, forecasts and expenditures.
Experience providing project advice, recommendations and reporting to managers, senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects involving competing priorities and deadlines.
Experience working with external vendors, agencies or service providers.
Demonstrated experience using project management and collaboration platforms, with experience using Notion considered an asset.
Experience within a complex, multi-stakeholder organization is required.
Experience in a post-secondary or public sector environment is an asset.

Skills and Attributes

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and provide functional leadership to multidisciplinary teams without direct supervisory authority.
Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to uphold the polytechnic’s priorities on equity, diversity, inclusion and Indigenization (EDII).
Able to travel between campuses and other work locations on a frequent basis.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
