Key Responsibilities
- Checks in-out all continuing care clients requested charts.
- Provides efficient and effective front-line services to clients and students; answers phone calls.
- Provides support to students in regards to the client scheduling system; explains processes, guides students on rotation; monitors assignment of clients to students; manages students’ voicemails.
- Enters new client information into the dental management software; scans documentation into the dental management software.
- Faxes medical consultations and referrals to physicians’ offices.
- Processes payments for services; balances daily deposits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- One
year certificate or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary
institution in Dental Hygiene, Dental Assistant, Dental Office
Administration, Medical Office Administration, Health Information
Management or any other related.
- Minimum
two years of customer service-related experience; with experience working
in a high-volume environment or student services department.
- Knowledge
of dental practice management software is an asset.
- Familiarity
with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
