Department: Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre Campus: Barrie Classification: Support Staff Posting Date: September 24, 2026 Hourly Pay Range: PB: 7 - $23.22-32.82 per hour Hours per week: up to 24 hours (current hours anticipated to be 24 hours per week) Status: Part-Time (Regular)

The incumbent provides planning, administrative, promotional, financial and logistical support for projects, programs and events aligned with the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

In collaboration with the Manager, develops and implements plans to ensure projects, programs and services produce desired deliverables within defined timelines and budgets.
Plans and coordinates HBEC activities as related to programs and services.
Initiates and leads all planning, budgeting and marketing meetings on a regular basis
Attends events and program offerings across the reach of Georgian's communities, as required.
Manages Georgian's presence and delivery at assigned events and programs
Ensures that events and programs are delivered as planned and that customer service excellence is maintained
Evaluates success of programs ensuring the program has met the defined deliverables
Coordinates logistics for in-class informational visits / workshops
Markets projects, programs and services to ensure successful registration of attendees.
In collaboration with the Manager, develops marketing plans / social media campaigns to effectively promote and launch initiatives.
Executes marketing plans through partners, vendors, and College staff/students/faculty.
Maintains strong connections with marketing, advertising, and production partners within the College and externally.
Initiates social networking campaigns and updating those campaigns in real time.
Engages all campus locations and includes them in marketing plans, scheduling, facilities assessment and selection, and promotional activities.
Prepares and presents marketing plans, materials and calendars with campus leadership, partners, and clients to ensure positive results.
Works within established project, program and service budgets and targets. Submits all required documentation to Managers, Partners, and Clients.
Ensures accurate documentation for all projects, programs and services in compliance with funder requirements, strategic plans and other planning documents as required
Monitors and report regularly on key project, programs and services outcomes.
Accountable to ensure financial integrity for projects, programs and services by regularly preparing financial updates and reports for internal and external client use.
Monitors project and services budgets and ensure that accounts are accurately billed and reports to Manager on potential issues which would jeopardize project budgets.
Establishes and maintains strong community partnerships to ensure success of projects.
Establishes and maintains healthy partnerships with students, faculty, clients, partners, business and political leaders across the region.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successfully completed a two-year postsecondary diploma in a related field that may include but is not limited to Business, Event Management, Marketing, Project Management, Promotion planning and execution
Five years of experience in Project management, sales, marketing and / or communications with demonstrated experience in event and program planning, promotion and logistics
Demonstrated experience with the entrepreneurship ecosystem is required
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Familiarity with Georgian’s Event and Conference Services programs, Enterprise room-booking program, and Banner, is preferred.
Familiarity with online tools such as Eventbrite, Survey Monkey, Canva, Mailchimp, Wufoo, Acuity is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the use of social networking programs (Twitter, LinkedIN, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and social networking tools (Hootsuite) is strongly preferred.
Ability to work non-traditional hours (days, evenings and weekends)
Regular travel to events is required; candidates must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
