Who You Are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Creative Director who will serve as the visionary leader and principal steward of the company's global visual brand identity system. What You'll Do:

As a Creative Director, your key area of responsibility will be establishing and governing the visual brand identity, directing the creative strategy for global campaigns and flagship events, and leading the internal Creative Services team to ensure consistent excellence and maximum brand impact worldwide. You will need to work closely with internal stakeholders, the Global Marketing organization, external creative agencies, and freelance partners.

To be successful in this role, you will be a visionary leader with exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills who thrives with significant latitude in creative decision-making. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise brand stewardship, budget management, workflow optimization, and a proven ability to coach and mentor high-performing creative teams.

How You'll Make An Impact:

Own, evolve, and govern the global visual brand identity system, including comprehensive style guides, asset libraries, and creative standards for all marketing and sales touchpoints.
Direct the creative strategy and execution for major global campaigns, product launches, and growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Lead the visual design and production for high-profile assets related to major flagship company events and global industry events.
Serve as the principal creative consultant and brand systems expert for internal stakeholders.
Optimize creative production workflows and processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and high-quality delivery from the hybrid creative team of in-house and vendor resources.
Manage and optimize efficiency of Creative Solutions annual budget.
Manage and evaluate external creative agency and freelance relationships, overseeing contracts, budgets, and project quality.
Develop and implement measurement and value framework for Creative Solutions to effectively manage and continuously improve functional performance
Direct, coach, and mentor the Creative Services team (including Art Directors, Graphic Designers, and Production Managers), guiding their performance, feedback, KPIs, career development, and resource prioritization to align with Geotab's global strategic initiatives.

What You'll Bring To The Role:

15+ years of experience in graphic design, comprehensive brand identity development, and brand stewardship across agency-side and in-house creative environments.
8+ years of leadership experience managing, mentoring, and coaching multi-disciplinary creative teams (including Art Direction and Production).
Expertise in developing and maintaining complex, scalable brand identity systems for global organizations.
Prior experience working for a B2B or B2C SaaS company with a complex global marketing footprint.
Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of enterprise-level project management and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor, and coach a centralized, multi-disciplinary in-house creative team (including Art Direction and Production).
Skill in fostering a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative creative culture.
Exceptional skill in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex creative and strategic problems, translating business insights into visual solutions.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) to articulate creative rationale and defend strategic choices.
Strong conflict resolution skills to manage differing opinions and promote positive, collaborative working relationships across departments.
Demonstrated ability to operate with significant latitude in creative decision-making, setting the bar for brand quality with minimal daily oversight.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.

Hiring Range

$116,200 - $155,000 CAD
