From identifying new business opportunities to bringing projects to life, you will help shape and execute our real estate and hotel development strategy. With your strategic vision, financial expertise, and ability to build strong relationships, you will bring together the right partners to turn ambitious projects into lasting successes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Identify and assess new hotel development opportunities across Canada, considering market conditions, locations, and profitability potential.

  • Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and financial projections to build strong business cases and support investment decisions.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with property owners, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other industry partners.

  • Lead project structuring and development planning, including securing financial partners, developing financing strategies, and coordinating due diligence.

  • Participate in negotiating development, acquisition, financing, and hotel management agreements in collaboration with relevant teams.

  • Coordinate the various stages of project planning and design with internal teams and external partners, including architects, engineers, and consultants.

  • Work closely with construction, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with established objectives.

  • Oversee the regulatory and municipal approval processes required to move projects forward.

  • Monitor development budgets, project progress, and commitments to key stakeholders through to the transition to operations.

  • Stay informed of real estate market trends and developments in the hospitality industry to recommend growth strategies and identify new investment opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • University degree in business administration, finance, real estate, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in real estate development, ideally within the hospitality industry.

  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, real estate project structuring, and business negotiations.

  • Strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to identify promising investment opportunities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to bring diverse stakeholders together around complex projects.

  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, as the role involves regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues, managers, and partners across Canada.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian real estate market and an established network of industry contacts are considered assets.

  • Willingness to travel across Canada.

  • Passionate about travel? Enjoy discounted rates at Germain Hotels and explore the country - again and again!

  • A work environment that fosters creativity and autonomy - contribute to the growth of a company that helps you advance and recognizes you for who you really are.
