Key Responsibilities
- Review tax documents and filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare, validate, and submit federal and state tax forms across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analyze financial statements, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation to confirm correct tax treatment.
- Identify discrepancies, compliance risks, or reporting inconsistencies and escalate as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving federal and state tax laws, filing requirements, and regulatory changes.
- Utilize tax software and Microsoft Excel to manage filings, reconciliations, and reporting workflows efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline compliance processes and improve operational standards.
- Provide review support and constructive feedback to ensure consistency and quality across tax deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Certified tax professional (US CPA, EA, or equivalent international credential).
- Direct hands-on experience reviewing, preparing, and filing federal and state tax forms.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, and professional tax software platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and reviewing capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
