Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision: Supervise and direct the members of the maintenance team within the location, setting goals, targets, and managing accordingly.
Preventive Maintenance: Follow the schedule of preventive maintenance and annual inspections.
Fleet Analysis: Analyze the fleet and make suggestions for improvements or purchases.
Subcontractor & Repair Oversight: Assume responsibility for the approval and payment of any repairs on the company’s equipment that must be performed by subcontractors while keeping in contact with the District Manager.
Budgeting & Operations: Work with Operations in the development and administration of the budget for maintenance and replacement of the equipment.
Compliance & Regulations: Responsible for keeping equipment in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Health & Safety: Ensure the health and safety of employees.
Reporting: Complete weekly reports.
Cost Management: Establish various management tools to improve cost management.
Staff Training: Ensure the training of the staff.
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Education & Experience: Post-secondary education, bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or 3 years of relevant work experience.
Licensing: Current Mechanic’s license and valid Driver’s License.
Software Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft software along with Trux, Ariett, GP and M5, or Dossier.
Communication & Organization: Excellent communication skills, management priorities, and good organizational skills.
Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial statements and general understanding of the department’s contributions to monthly financial statements.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to deal with all levels of management; tactfully dispenses direct and actionable feedback and is open and direct with others.
Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure.
Designation: Maintenance Management Professional designation is considered an asset.
