GG Central is Waterloo’s home for competitive and casual gaming. Since opening in January 2026, we’ve been running 20 high-end gaming PCs, three PS5s and a Nintendo Switch 2, all on fast, low-ping internet, plus a snack bar to keep players fuelled. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for one more person to join us.

About the Role
As a Gaming Cafe Associate, you’ll be the face of GG Central on the floor. You’ll welcome players, get them set up, keep the space spotless, and fix tech issues before they turn into problems.
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers, check them in, manage gaming sessions and answer questions
- Process sales through our POS system and handle cash accurately
- Set up and reset PC stations, PS5s and the Nintendo Switch 2
- Troubleshoot PCs, Windows, game launchers, peripherals and connection issues
- Clean and sanitize stations, controllers, keyboards, headsets and floors
- Keep the snack bar stocked, organized and clean
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and punctual; you show up on time, every shift
- Customer service experience (retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- PC knowledge: Windows, installing and updating software, basic hardware and network troubleshooting
- Comfortable setting up and troubleshooting consoles
- Up to date on popular titles like Valorant, League of Legends, Fortnite and CS2
- Experience with POS and/or ERP systems
- Confident and accurate handling cash
- Clear, friendly communication in English
- Positive, upbeat energy; you help make GG Central a place people want to come back to
- Experience with ggLeap is an asset

Responsibilities
Welcome and check in customers, manage gaming sessions, process sales and cash payments, and set up or reset PC and console stations. Troubleshoot technical issues, clean and sanitize the gaming area, and keep the snack bar stocked and organized.
Requirements
Candidates should be reliable and punctual, have customer service experience, and be comfortable handling cash and communicating clearly in English. They should know Windows, basic PC hardware and network troubleshooting, console setup, and popular games; POS or ERP experience is sought, and ggLeap experience is an asset.
