Original job description

Level up your accounting career with GGFL! Go beyond the numbers.

At GGFL, our work is our pride, people are our strength, we embrace change and grow with it, and we work collaboratively.

At GGFL, we’re not your average accounting firm. Yes, we take our work seriously (tax laws require it!), but we also believe in having fun, supporting one another, and growing together. We’re proud of what we do, energized by who we work with, and always up for embracing what’s next.

We’re Ottawa’s go-to tax planning and accounting firm for successful business owners. Entrepreneurs and local leaders trust us to help them navigate complex financial territory - from audits to tax planning - with confidence, clarity, and a little bit of personality.

Join Our Health Professional Team as a Manager – Where Numbers Meet Meaning!

Are you ready to make a real impact while working with a dynamic team and a niche group of clients who truly value your expertise? We’re on the lookout for a Manager to join our Assurance and Advisory Services, specializing in supporting Health Professionals. If you love solving complex problems, building lasting relationships, and making tax and accounting feel a little less intimidating (and maybe even fun!), this might be the perfect fit.

As a Manager in our Health Professional Team, you’ll be the go-to advisor for local doctors, dentists, and other health pros - helping them navigate their unique financial journeys. From compensation planning to tax strategy, you’ll be working in a high-touch, client-centric environment where your insights truly matter.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the charge on client engagements - scheduling, reviewing, and delivering top-notch service.
Mentoring and developing our amazing team - because we grow stronger together.
Being the trusted advisor and main point of contact for your clients.
Offering strategic advice that helps our clients achieve their personal and professional goals.

What You Bring To The Table

3+ years of experience managing client relationships and engagements in a public accounting firm.
A CPA designation and a solid grasp of Canadian accounting and tax standards.
A passion for working with health professionals and understanding their unique needs.
Stellar communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
A growth mindset - you’re always looking to learn and help others do the same.

Why Health Professionals?

This team supports doctors, dentists, and other healthcare providers - professionals who value trusted, long-term relationships. This client group offers complex and rewarding work, and the opportunity to develop niche expertise. You'll help clients navigate incorporation, tax strategy, succession planning, and practice growth, all while making a meaningful impact on those who care for others.

Real impact. You’ll work directly with local health care professionals who make a meaningful difference in the community where you live.
A dynamic and forward-thinking partner group.
Your career, your way. We support your journey with structured development, coaching and skills progression for your continuous growth.
Flexible time off. Generous PTO, bonus holiday week in December, and half-day Fridays in July and August!
Free onsite parking – because who wants to pay for that?
