Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support our Team. This is a one-year fixed-term contract position. To be based in our Waterloo Office.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Perform all responsibilities in accordance with GHD Procurement Guidelines and ensure relevant policies, procedures, and controls are followed.
Prepare and process purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with contractual requirements.
Review purchase orders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist with vendor onboarding, prequalification, and vendor record maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with project teams to understand purchasing requirements.
Support supplier negotiations related to pricing and commercial terms.
Coordinate with Legal and other internal stakeholders, as required, to minimize contractual risk.
Promote Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives with suppliers.
Assist with sustainable procurement reporting and data analysis.
Maintain accurate records in procurement, vendor management, and purchasing systems.
Liaise with suppliers regarding the delivery of goods and services.
Support the development and administration of framework agreements with preferred suppliers.
Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
Monitor, review, and close purchase orders as required.
Maintain procurement records and documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the Team

Experience using procure-to-pay, purchasing, contract management, or ERP systems is preferred.
Diploma, degree, or certification in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A proactive and customer-focused approach to work.
Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
Experience with Salesforce and BST cost accounting software is considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $$21.09 - $30.00 . The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. Responsibilities
