About The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Reclamation, the Lead, Vegetation provides technical expertise in vegetation ecology, ecosystem development, and revegetation to support mine reclamation and closure objectives across the Elk Valley.

The Lead, Vegetation provides expertise in ecosystem recovery and development, helps define and evaluate reclamation trajectories and ecosystem development pathways, leads native plant propagation and ecological monitoring programs, evaluates revegetation and ecosystem outcomes, and supports adaptive management decisions to advance reclamation and closure objectives.
