Finance
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain reconciliations/working papers for all balance sheet accounts and selected P&L accounts. (This function includes maintaining accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and fixed asset subledgers).
- Daily Bank Reconciliations.
- Monthly GST/HST filings.
- Maintenance of monthly exchange rates
- Preparation of year end audit package
- Preparation and filing of year end tax returns.
- Liaison with Auditors, banks, government agencies.
- Supply data and reconciliations for Federal Audits as required.
Accounts Receivable
- Customer invoicing (both product and services)
- Customer payment posting
- Customer set up in QuickBooks computer system
- Review of customer accounts and associated collection requirements.
- Set up of customer accounts receivable insurance.
- Access various EDI portals for reports and customer issues.
Accounts Payable
- Vendor set up in QuickBooks computer system.
- Posting vendor bills in QuickBooks.
- Process Payments in QuickBooks.
Payroll and Benefits
- Process bi-weekly payroll.
- Year end payroll review and filings.
- Maintenance of employee files.
- Set up and maintenance of employees on both payroll and benefits suppliers computer systems.
- Provide employees with employment verification letters as required.
Inventory & Services
- Set up and maintenance of products and warehouse.
- Landed Cost calculations for inventory receipt.
QuickBooks (Company Computer system)
- Set up users and roles
- System maintenance (templates, memorized transactions, exchange rates, term codes…).
- Preparation management and sales reports.
Additional tasks and responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve financial systems (QuickBooks/ERP)
- Establish data integrity across finance, sales, and supply chain
- Build automation and reporting dashboards (Power BI / Excel)
- Improve process scalability as volume grows
- Develops financial and tax strategies
- Develop KPIs aligned with strategic goals (margin, trade spend, velocity, inventory turns)
- Accountability for company EBITA targets
o Build profitability models by brand, channel, client(scenario analysis)
o Support trade spend optimization
- Establishes and implements pricing governance
- Manages capital and major purchase requests, while maintaining the company budget
- Optimize inventory cycles in tandem with Sales and Supply chain
- Lead financial input into: Customer negotiations, Distributor structures, Promotion planning
