About The Job
At Global Drain Technologies, we take pride in manufacturing the highest quality stainless steel drainage products in the industry. We are experiencing a wave of growth and are looking for welders or those interested in learning how to TIG weld stainless steel. The Junior TIG Welder will report to the Welding Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety is a priority by following company policies, safety precautions and procedures;
- Accurately read and understand welding blueprints, shop drawings, manuals and procedures;
- Accurately measure, assemble and perform TIG welding on stainless steel parts in an assembly line set up;
- Operate hand tools, grinders and torches safely and efficiently;
- Maintain a clean work area;
- Process production orders within our ERP system;
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.
- Grade 12 Diploma or a combination of education and experience will be considered;
- Six (6) months - One (1) year welding experience;
- Customer Service focused with a positive work attitude;
- Ability to be a team player;
- Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs;
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset;
- Experience with shears, press brakes, saws, etc. is an asset.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret welding blueprints, shop drawings, manuals, and procedures; measure, assemble, and TIG-weld stainless steel parts in an assembly-line setting. Operate tools and equipment safely, maintain a clean work area, follow safety procedures, and process production orders in the ERP system.
Requirements
A Grade 12 diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is considered, along with six months to one year of welding experience. Candidates should have a positive, customer-focused attitude, work well in a team, be mechanically inclined, pay close attention to detail, and be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; forklift and metalworking equipment experience are assets.
