Role Description The Student Recruitment Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC. This position is responsible for advising prospective international and domestic students on educational pathways in Canada, admission requirements, and immigration-related study options. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with prospective students, assessing their academic profiles, explaining program options, and guiding them through application and visa processes. The advisor collaborates with recruitment partners and educational institutions, supports outreach activities, and contributes to employer branding by representing the organization at events, fairs, and information sessions. The role also includes maintaining accurate student records, following up on leads, and ensuring a high standard of communication and service throughout the recruitment and onboarding journey.

Qualifications

• Recruiting and Hiring skills, with experience identifying prospective students and matching them to suitable programs.
• Onboarding and Communication skills to support students through application, admission, and pre-arrival processes.
• Employer Branding capabilities to represent the organization professionally at events and in digital channels.
• Knowledge of Canadian education systems and basic understanding of study-related immigration pathways (e.g., student visas).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations in a client-focused environment.
• Organizational and time-management skills, including accurate record-keeping and follow-up with leads.
• Proficiency with common office software and CRM or student management systems.
• Post-secondary education in counseling, education, business, or a related field; experience in student advising or recruitment is an asset.
