About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading aerospace organization, is seeking a Human Factors & Ergonomics Specialist to support the design, evaluation, and optimization of complex aircraft environments and human-machine interfaces.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of highly regulated, safety-critical systems, combining cognitive ergonomics, physical ergonomics, human factors engineering, and user-centered design principles.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from early concept development through evaluation, validation, and certification activities.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of complex operator environments using user-centered design principles.
Participate in 3D layout development, simulation, evaluation, and optimization activities.
Support interface design, component placement, control integration, and overall usability assessments.
Perform physical ergonomics analyses, including anthropometry, reach, accessibility, accommodation, strength, and vision studies.
Support cognitive ergonomics activities, including task analysis, workflow evaluation, workload assessment, and human error analysis.
Participate in validation, verification, testing, and user evaluation activities.
Develop test plans, perform evaluations, and document findings and recommendations.
Contribute to certification-related activities and technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams, operators, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development process.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Industrial Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related discipline.
Professional experience in Human Factors Engineering and/or Ergonomics within complex environments.
Experience applying cognitive ergonomics and physical ergonomics principles.
Experience with 3D modeling and/or digital human modeling tools such as CATIA, Siemens Jack, NX, Rhinoceros, or equivalent platforms.
Experience conducting anthropometric, reach, visibility, accessibility, or usability analyses.
Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and technical writing skills.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following sectors:

Aerospace
Avionics
Defence
Transportation
Rail
Nuclear control rooms
Safety-critical systems
Other highly regulated environments

Experience supporting certification activities is considered an asset.

Notre client, un acteur majeur du secteur aéronautique, est à la recherche d'un(e) spécialiste en facteurs humains et ergonomie afin de contribuer à la conception, l'évaluation et l'optimisation d'environnements opérateurs complexes et d'interfaces homme-machine.

Ce rôle permet de participer au développement de systèmes critiques et fortement réglementés en combinant les principes de facteurs humains, d'ergonomie cognitive, d'ergonomie physique et de conception centrée utilisateur.

La personne retenue interviendra à différentes étapes du cycle de développement, depuis les phases initiales de conception jusqu'aux activités de validation, de vérification et de certification.

Responsabilités principales

Participer à la conception et au développement d'environnements opérateurs complexes selon les principes de conception centrée utilisateur.
Contribuer aux activités de modélisation, de simulation, d'évaluation et d'optimisation en environnement 3D.
Soutenir la conception d'interfaces, l'intégration de commandes, le positionnement de composantes et les activités d'évaluation de l'utilisabilité.
Réaliser des analyses d'ergonomie physique incluant l'anthropométrie, la portée, l'accessibilité, l'accommodation, la force et la visibilité.
Effectuer des activités liées à l'ergonomie cognitive telles que l'analyse de tâches, l'analyse des flux de travail, l'évaluation de la charge de travail et l'analyse des erreurs humaines.
Participer aux activités de validation, de vérification, d'essais et d'évaluation utilisateurs.
Élaborer des plans d'essais, réaliser des évaluations et documenter les résultats et recommandations.
Contribuer aux activités de certification ainsi qu'à la documentation technique associée.
Collaborer avec les équipes d'ingénierie, les utilisateurs, les fournisseurs, les équipes manufacturières et différents intervenants multidisciplinaires.

Qualifications requises

Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en génie, facteurs humains, ergonomie, design industriel, psychologie, sciences cognitives ou dans un domaine connexe.
Expérience professionnelle en facteurs humains et/ou ergonomie dans des environnements complexes.
Expérience pratique en ergonomie cognitive et en ergonomie physique.
Expérience avec des outils de modélisation 3D ou de mannequins numériques tels que CATIA, Siemens Jack, NX, Rhinoceros ou équivalents.
Expérience dans la réalisation d'analyses anthropométriques, d'accessibilité, de portée, de visibilité ou d'utilisabilité.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication, collaboration, analyse et rédaction technique.
Capacité à évoluer efficacement dans un environnement multidisciplinaire.
