Role Description The Parts Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for assisting guests and internal technicians with identifying, sourcing, and providing the correct automotive parts and accessories. Day-to-day tasks include managing parts orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing stock, and ensuring timely replenishment of commonly used items. The Parts Specialist communicates with service advisors, technicians, and customers to provide product information, pricing, and availability while upholding Go Auto’s standards for customer satisfaction. The role also involves processing invoices, handling returns, using dealership systems and catalog software, and contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient parts department.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on building positive, long-term relationships.
- Experience with Inventory Management and Inventory Control in an automotive or similar environment, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient organization.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for working effectively with customers, technicians, and other team members.
- Familiarity with automotive parts, catalogs, and dealership management systems, or a willingness to learn quickly.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a parts department, retail automotive, or service environment is an asset.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort using inventory and point-of-sale software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive training is considered an advantage.
