Customer Engineering & Reliability

Location: Mississauga, Ontario (hybrid) · Type: Full-time, permanent · Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday · Team: Customer Engineering

Work arrangement: Hybrid, with at least 3 days a week in our Mississauga office and up to 2 days remote. For strong candidates based outside the Greater Toronto Area, we may consider a remote arrangement.

About ZenduIT / GoFleet / GoZen Intelligence

ZenduIT and GoFleet build technology that helps organizations run fleets and field operations: GPS tracking, driver safety, AI dash cameras, maintenance, compliance, asset monitoring and business intelligence. We are now building GoZen Intelligence, an AI-powered fleet intelligence platform that turns operational data into prioritized insights and actions.

About the role

You will investigate technical issues across vehicles, IoT devices, networks, SaaS platforms, APIs and data. You find the root cause, explain it clearly to customers and help make sure it does not happen again. This role replaces guessing with evidence.

What you will do

  • Turn vague customer reports into specific, testable technical questions.
  • Investigate with logs, APIs, dashboards, SQL queries, configuration and event history.
  • Reproduce issues, compare working and failing cases, and prove the root cause.
  • Keep customers informed: what we know, what we don't know yet, and when the next update comes.
  • Escalate to engineering with evidence packs they can act on immediately.
  • Spot when one ticket is a pattern, and drive recurring issues to a permanent fix.
  • Build reusable diagnostic queries, scripts, runbooks and knowledge articles.
  • Use AI to investigate faster, and verify its output against real data.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years in technical support, application support, customer engineering, QA, implementation or field service.
  • Real examples of diagnosing problems where the cause was not obvious.
  • Working knowledge of several of: REST APIs, logs, SQL or MongoDB, networking, SaaS, scripting (Python, PowerShell or Bash), IoT devices.
  • Comfort with Postman, query tools and spreadsheets.
  • Clear, calm communication with technical and non-technical people.
  • Hands-on AI use for technical work, with the judgment to check the results.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Telematics, GPS, cellular or vehicle-electrical experience is an asset, not a requirement.

Compensation (CAD, annual base, tentative)

  • 3–5 years: $65,000 – $82,000
  • 6–8 years: $78,000 – $98,000
  • 9–11 years: $92,000 – $115,000

These ranges are tentative and will be finalized as we move through the hiring process, based on the level we hire for, assessed skills and internal equity.

Hiring process

Application → AI-assisted interview → Technical investigation case → Hiring manager → Final conversation

Use of AI in our hiring process. We use AI tools to help screen, assess and select applicants, and our first interview is conducted by an AI interviewer. People review every application and interview, and people make every hiring decision. If you would rather speak with a person, tell us and we will arrange it. This will not affect your application. AI tools are welcome in the investigation case; we will ask how you used them and how you checked the output.

Diversity and inclusion. ZenduIT / GoFleet is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background, identity, age and ability, and we assess what you can do, not where you did it. Canadian work experience is not required.

Accommodation. Accommodations are available at every stage of recruitment, in line with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the AODA. Tell us what you need when you apply or at any point in the process. We keep this information confidential and use it only to arrange your accommodation.

Vacancy and response. This posting is for an existing vacancy. We will tell every interviewed candidate the outcome within 45 days of their last interview.
