Location: Mississauga, Ontario – Hybrid (4 days/week in office)

We are now building GoZen Intelligence, an AI-powered fleet intelligence platform designed to turn operational data into prioritized insights, recommendations, and actions.

About the Role

We are looking for a Support Engineer who enjoys figuring out why something isn't working, rather than simply closing a ticket.

You will investigate technical issues across vehicles, IoT devices, networks, SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, configurations, and data - identify the root cause, communicate clearly with customers, and help prevent the issue from happening again.

This role is about replacing guessing with evidence-based troubleshooting.

What You Will Do

Turn vague customer reports into specific, testable technical questions.
Investigate using logs, APIs, dashboards, SQL/data queries, configuration and event history.
Reproduce issues, test hypotheses, and identify root causes.
Compare working vs. failing systems to find meaningful differences.
Communicate clearly with customers about what we know, what we don't know, and what happens next.
Escalate issues to engineering with clear evidence, reproduction steps, and findings.
Identify recurring problems and help drive permanent fixes.
Create reusable diagnostic tools, queries, scripts, checklists, and documentation.
Use AI to investigate faster while verifying its output against real evidence.

What You May Investigate

Vehicles or devices that stop reporting.
API, authentication, webhook, or integration issues.
Missing, delayed, duplicated, or inconsistent data.
Firmware or configuration problems.
Recurring issues that have been fixed repeatedly but never truly resolved.

What We're Looking For

We value curiosity, critical thinking, ownership, and problem-solving over job titles or years of experience.

You should have:

Experience in technical support, application support, customer engineering, QA, implementation, systems, field service, or similar hands-on troubleshooting.
Experience diagnosing technical problems where the cause was not immediately obvious.
A methodical approach to separating symptoms, evidence, and root cause.
Working knowledge of areas such as REST APIs, logs, SQL/MongoDB, networking, SaaS applications, scripting, or IoT/devices.
Comfort with tools such as Postman, query tools, spreadsheets, or scripting environments.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Practical experience using AI tools for technical work, with the judgment to verify the results.

Telematics, GPS, cellular, or vehicle-electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
