Original job description

GolfBC is looking for a detail-loving Payroll Administrator to process accurate, on-time payroll for approximately 800 Team Members across our golf and hospitality businesses. We support part-time, full-time, regular, and seasonal Team Members; spread across multiple businesses that work together in a fun, friendly, and fast-paced environment.

This 20-month fixed-term position is based at our Head Office in Vancouver and begins as soon as possible, ahead of maternity/parental leave beginning at the end of December.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process payroll through ADP Workforce Now for multiple businesses for both salaried and hourly Team Members, including processing new hires, terminations, and rate changes.
Respond, in a timely fashion, to inquiries from on-site Managers regarding payroll, scheduling, time/attendance, and tax issues.
Assist the Payroll Manager with journal entries, monthly and year-end payroll reconciliations, and reporting.
Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and HR team on process improvement projects.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

2+ years of payroll experience
Payroll Compliance Professional certificate
Strong attention to detail
Confident problem solver who works well independently in a fast-paced environment
ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset
Experience processing high-volume, multi-location payroll
Takes initiative and follows through with a high level of accountability
Interacts effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization
Shows tact and discretion when dealing with confidential information
Remains calm, organized and accurate under tight deadlines
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
Knowledge of payroll best practices, CRA requirements, and the BC Employment Standards Act
