Original job description
About Good Health
Good Health Optimize is part of Good Health Group, which owns, operates and manages community cardiology clinics across Ontario, including Good Health CPS Guelph Cardiac Clinic and Good Health Markham Cardiac Clinic, with Good Health Cambridge Cardiac Clinic opening soon. We give patients fast access to excellent cardiac care and we give referring physicians a partner they can rely on. We’re growing quickly, with further expansion planned across Ontario.
The role
This is a growth role with real accountability, not a social media or graphic design job. Our growth depends on two things: patients getting to the right cardiac care sooner and referring physicians trusting us with their patients. You’ll own how Good Health builds those relationships, launches new clinics and shows up in the community. You’ll work with family physicians and specialists, run physician education events, lead marketing for new openings and own our website and brand.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and be held to clear, measurable goals:
- the strength of our physician relationships
- appropriate referral growth
- successful clinic launches
- the experience patients and referring offices have with us
We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial who wants to build something, not maintain it. You’ll have real autonomy and won’t be closely managed. If you like owning outcomes, moving quickly and growing with an organization, this role will grow as we do.
The role is based across our current three regions: Markham/Richmond Hill, Guelph and Cambridge and their surrounding areas. As we open new locations, it will extend to other parts of Ontario. You’ll split your time between our clinics, referring physicians’ offices and events, so regular travel is part of the job.
What you’ll do
Physician relations & referral partnerships
- Build lasting relationships with family physicians, specialists and clinics across our regions, earned by being genuinely useful to their practices and their patients.
- Understand referral patterns by practice, region and service to find where timely access to cardiac care can improve. Reconnect with physicians whose referrals have dropped off, and learn what we could be doing better.
- Keep referring offices up to date on services, wait times, new physicians, clinical pathways and referral processes.
Physician education & events
- Plan and run CME sessions, physician dinners and community events, from invitations through follow-up.
- Build an annual physician engagement calendar and measure what each event achieves.
New clinic & service launches
- Lead marketing and physician outreach for new locations, starting with Cambridge.
- Coordinate launch communications, referral materials, listings, signage, photography and events, as well as launches of new physicians and services.
Digital presence & brand
- Own the Good Health website, Google Business profiles and online listings, including SEO and analytics.
- Keep the brand consistent across clinics and channels, and manage outside vendors such as web developers, designers, photographers and printers.
Content, reputation & employer brand
- Create content about our physicians, services, milestones and cardiovascular health, and manage LinkedIn and social channels.
- Work with Operations to monitor reviews, patient feedback and NPS, and act on recurring themes.
- Support physician and staff recruitment with careers content and employer branding.
Analytics & market intelligence
- Build a monthly dashboard covering referral activity and sources, physician engagement, growth by clinic and service, event outcomes, patient and referring-physician experience, digital performance, and marketing ROI.
- Track the regional cardiac care landscape, demand and new clinic openings, and help evaluate future locations and partnerships.
What you bring
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare marketing, physician relations, business development or another relationship-driven field. Healthcare experience is a strong asset.
- Confidence with physicians and senior professionals. You can walk into a busy family practice and earn a second meeting.
- Hands-on experience with websites, digital content, events or campaigns.
- Comfort with data and with being accountable for measurable results.
- An understanding that healthcare communications must be accurate, respectful, and consistent with professional and privacy standards.
- Strong writing and organization, and the ability to run several projects across multiple locations on your own.
- A valid Ontario G driver’s license and access to your own reliable vehicle. This is required, because the role involves regular travel between clinics and physician offices.
You’ll thrive here if you
- Set your own priorities and follow through without being chased.
- Bring energy and drive, and like moving between strategy and hands-on work.
- Want a long-term career with an organization you help build, not a stepping stone.
- Are comfortable being measured, and care just as much about how results are achieved.
What we offer
- $65,000 to $80,000 base salary, based on experience
- Health and dental benefits
- Group RRSP with employer matching contributions
- 407 ETR toll reimbursement of up to $250/month
- Real room to grow: as we open new clinics, this role’s scope and leadership responsibility grow with it
- Reporting directly to the CEO, with a real say in how we grow
