About Us

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre, located near Regina, Saskatchewan and Strathroy, Ontario and is committed to the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured, orphaned or otherwise compromised wildlife. Our goal is to return healthy animals to their natural habitat. Through education, we are dedicated to increasing public awareness about and respect for the issues affecting Canadian wildlife.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Fundraising Coordinator to join our exciting team. Reporting directly to the Director of Wildlife Rehabilitation, coordinating with the Grants and Prospect Development Manager while ultimately sharing information with the Board of Directors, you will help shape the future of our organization by inspiring generosity, building relationships and unlocking resources that transform lives. In this role, you will develop and lead creative, strategic and heartfelt fundraising initiatives that connect donors to meaningful impact by cultivating relationships with individuals, corporations and community partners who share our vision. You will craft compelling stories, design engaging campaigns and champion a donor experience that leaves supporters feeling valued and inspired. You’ll oversee all fundraising operations, including campaigns, events, publicity and social media coordination, while managing budgets, donor databases and CRM systems to track progress and strengthen stewardship. You will bring programs to life through powerful appeals for support, thoughtful communication and innovative engagement strategies. By guiding our talented teams, aligning efforts across departments and coordinating revenue‑generating activities, you’ll play a critical role in helping us meet financial goals and expand our impact in both of our locations. If you’re energized by building relationships, motivated by ambitious goals and passionate about creating lasting social change then this role offers the opportunity to lead with purpose and help shape the future of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.

The position is located primarily near Regina Saskatchewan and offers an opportunity for a flexible onsite and remote working environment on a regular schedule. We are looking forward to collaborating part time, 15-20 hours per week for the first 6 months with potential for the role to develop into full-time hours. The scope of responsibilities will evolve as the working hours increase. Availability to work onsite for a few weekday hours as agreed, with flexibility that may include preparing and hosting events on some evenings and weekends as well as presenting updates during the monthly Board meeting.
