Original job description
Lead a restaurant. Build a team. Shape a culture.
Bells & Whistles Isn't Just Another Sports Bar.
We're a high-volume neighbourhood restaurant built around incredible hospitality, unforgettable game days, arcade nostalgia, community events, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together. Whether it's a packed playoff game, World Cup watch party, trivia night, Drag brunch, or a regular Tuesday afternoon, our goal is always the same: create an experience that guests can't wait to come back for.
Alongside unforgettable hospitality, we're proud to serve an exceptional selection of local craft beer and a menu of elevated comfort food that proves burgers, wings and fries can be done remarkably well.
We're looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our Fraser location.
This role is about far more than scheduling shifts and running service. It's about building culture, developing people, creating systems, driving financial performance, and leading from the front. You'll work closely with ownership to continue growing one of Vancouver's most exciting hospitality concepts while inspiring a talented team to do their best work every day.
What You'll Be Responsible For…

- Creating a positive, high-performance culture built on trust, respect and accountability.
- Driving exceptional guest experiences and service standards.
- Labour management, budgeting and financial performance.
- Inventory control, ordering and cost management.
- Large reservations, events and sports activations.
- Building efficient systems that allow busy services to run smoothly.
- Working alongside ownership on new initiatives, events and business growth.
- Leads with confidence, humility and integrity.
- Thrives in high-volume hospitality.
- Is obsessed with creating memorable guest experiences.
- Understands that coaching and developing people is one of the most important parts of leadership.
- Has a genuine appreciation for local craft beer and takes pride in serving high-quality comfort food with consistency, care and attention to detail.
- Can balance hospitality with strong financial decision-making.
- Solves problems proactively and stays calm under pressure.
- Has exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed.
- You believe hospitality is about making people feel something.
- You enjoy building systems that make everyone's job easier.
- You love mentoring future leaders.
- You take pride in creating an environment where people genuinely want to come to work.
- You get excited about game days, community events and creating memorable experiences.
- You enjoy working with ownership that values ideas, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Competitive salary.
- Competitive tip sharing.
- Extended health benefits.
- Dining discounts across Gooseneck Hospitality.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- The chance to lead an established, respected restaurant with an incredible team and a loyal community of guests.
If you're passionate about hospitality, leadership and building great teams, we'd love to hear from you.
