The Public Service Commission (PSC) ensures Alberta has a professional and non-partisan and public service that proudly serves Albertans. The expertise and talent that PSC staff bring to their work is critical to our overall success, as our Ministry is responsible for delivering HR services in all HR functional areas, internal communications, and employee engagement to the Government of Alberta.

The Talent Acquisition Services (TAS) branch provides effective and efficient recruitment services to clients across the Alberta Public Service (APS), helping ensure the APS has the talent it needs to serve Albertans. You will also manage general inquiries, prepare standard recruitment reports, and support the Talent Acquisition Enhancement Consultant with analysis and recruitment technology enhancements in collaboration with Technology and Innovation. Working with recruiters and partners, you will contribute to process improvements and cross-government recruitment projects that respond to emergent APS priorities.

  • Coordinate the outreach program’s annual schedule of career fairs and hiring events, organize recruiter participation and event logistics, and support a cohesive Government of Alberta presence.
  • Ensure recruiters attending career fairs and hiring events have the resources, materials and clear guidance they need to participate effectively and consistently represent Government of Alberta career opportunities.
  • Manage outreach expenses in full compliance with applicable financial administration requirements, including coordinating required approvals, maintaining supporting documentation and tracking expenditures.
  • Support a variety of cross-government recruitment projects and initiatives, as required, to respond to emergent Alberta Public Service (APS) priorities.
