About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Facilities and Community Relations, the Facilities Manager oversees building maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, contractors, facility safety, budgets and long-term capital planning.

- Plan for the future: Develop annual maintenance budgets and contribute to multi-year capital planning and responsible building stewardship.
- Champion safety: Identify facility risks, maintain compliance and support emergency preparedness.
- Keep things organized: Maintain accurate maintenance, financial, contractor and compliance records.
- Work as one team: Partner closely with the Events Lead to coordinate maintenance activities, facility readiness and operational priorities. Collaborate with staff, ministry leaders and volunteers, sharing information proactively to ensure building operations support worship, programs, rentals and community activities.
- Provide exceptional service: Build positive relationships with staff, volunteers, renters and community members, responding to concerns with kindness, professionalism and sound judgment.
What You'll Bring
- 3–5+ years of facilities, property or building operations management experience.
- Exceptional communication, customer service and collaboration skills, with a warm, approachable manner and the ability to build positive relationships and work effectively across teams.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine enjoyment of working with people from all walks of life.
- Sound judgment and professional diplomacy, with the confidence to manage competing priorities, communicate decisions respectfully and balance individual requests with organizational needs, policies and available resources.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, coordinate resources, track budgets and deliver results.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance budgets and building projects.
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance and applicable safety requirements.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
Experience managing and maintaining older buildings with complex infrastructure is strongly preferred. Experience with heritage properties, restoration projects and community-focused organizations is particularly valuable.
