Build What Matters

At Graham, one of North America’s largest general contractors, we don’t just construct buildings, we create spaces that shape lives and strengthen communities. As part of our Buildings division, you will contribute to meaningful projects across the region, from hospitals and schools to entertainment venues and multi-family residences.

Here, your work has purpose. Your safety and growth are supported. And your impact is lasting.

Join a team that builds with commitment, reliability, and integrity. Apply today and help us build what matters.

Your Impact Starts Here

Graham is actively recruiting for a Design Specialist to join our Buildings Division. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the Design Specialist oversees the design process from RFQ to close-out, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and delivering cost-effective solutions. The role leads design coordination, supports client and stakeholder engagement, oversees ESDC activities, and provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site

Lead and manage the design process from project planning through execution, ensuring designs are compliant, cost-effective, constructible, and aligned with project objectives
Coordinate and oversee design consultants and project stakeholders, ensuring quality deliverables, adherence to schedules, and successful collaboration across teams
Manage design schedules, budgets, risks, and resources, proactively identifying and addressing issues that may impact project performance
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing design guidance, addressing concerns, managing expectations, and communicating technical information effectively
Provide leadership and mentorship to the Design team, promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, quality standards, and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements

The Right Tools for the Job

Education: A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related technical field. Additional credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., or LEED are considered an asset
Experience: 2-3+ years of experience supporting design-build or construction projects, with exposure to project leadership, stakeholder coordination, and team management on complex projects
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, and Navisworks. Experience with ACONEX and Revizto is a plus
