Original job description

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
Escorts cash/cash equivalents
Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
Escorts guests and team members as directed
Performs identification checks
Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
Performs crowd control as directed
Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

High School Diploma
Minimum 1 year of work experience or correlated secondary education relatable to the position
Valid Smart Serve Certification
Valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C Certification
Must be willing to recertify Use of Force Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
