  • A flexible hybrid work environment, continuous internal and external learning opportunities, and a meaningful reward and recognition program.

What can you expect from this position?

Reporting to the Associate Director, Forecasting and Analytics, the Manager, Aviation Forecasting and Analytics leads the delivery of traffic forecasting, aviation analytics and capacity monitoring for Toronto Pearson. You will develop and communicate short- and long-term passenger forecasts that inform annual budgets, business planning, strategy and capital investment decisions. You will also lead a team of two analysts, coordinate forecasting across Commercial, Finance, Strategy, Planning and Operations, and translate complex market and operational data into clear insights for senior leaders, the Executive Team and the Board.

This role also supports airline growth by building air service business cases, monitoring route and commercial performance, identifying emerging capacity constraints, and recommending actions that improve connectivity, passenger growth and revenue performance.

As a Manager, Aviation Forecasting and Analytics, you will:

  • Lead the annual forecasting cycle and deliver 1-to-5-year passenger and traffic forecasts for budget, business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate annual updates to Toronto Pearson's 20-to-50-year forecasts, working with internal partners and external consultants to support long-term planning and financial modelling.
  • Assess forecast demand against airport capacity, identifying emerging constraints, infrastructure needs and operational impacts that influence growth and investment decisions.
  • Lead the cross-functional forecasting working group and communicate forecast updates, sensitivities and recommendations to senior leadership, the Executive Team and the Board.
  • Develop airline and route performance insights using pricing, fares, capacity, passenger profiles, traffic flows and broader market intelligence.
  • Oversee dashboards, scorecards, reports and data visualizations that turn complex aviation data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Lead the development of air service business cases and capacity recommendations that support airline growth, connectivity and revenue objectives.
  • Build effective relationships with airlines, tourism and destination partners, consultants and internal teams to support joint planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Manage budgets and contracts for aviation data sources, while identifying new tools and information that strengthen forecasting and analytics capabilities.
  • Lead, coach and develop two analysts, setting clear expectations and creating a collaborative, high-performing and inclusive team environment.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, forecasting, network planning, air service development, transportation demand analysis or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and managing internal and external stakeholders;
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills, including statistical forecasting, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong analytics, research, data mining and data visualization skills, with experience using Power BI or Tableau.
  • The business acumen and communication skills to translate complex analysis into concise recommendations for senior and executive audiences.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work with limited direction and respond effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • A post-secondary degree in economics, aviation, statistics, mathematics, business, data science, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
