THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Base Salary: CAD $74,269.00 - 92,837.00
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth within the claims management and benefits administration sector. You will work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to create tailored solutions, support the sales process, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential clients within the claims adjudication and benefits administration, including insurance companies, healthcare providers, third part payers and third-party administrators (TPAs).
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with executives and decision-makers within prospect organizations. Serve as a strategic advisor, understanding their unique business challenges and tailoring solutions that align with their goals
- Support the implementation process and maintain long-term relationships with new clients, acting as the primary point of contact for business development inquiries.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and new opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives in the claims adjudication and administration services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that address clients’ needs and highlight the value of our claims and administration solutions.
- Explore partnership opportunities with industry stakeholders, such as technology providers, consultants, and strategic partners, to enhance our service offerings and expand the client base.
- Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached while maintaining profitability.
- Manage and maintain a multi-million dollars pipeline with accurate sales forecasts, track business development progress, and report to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to provide knowledgeable insights to clients and support the company’s thought leadership in claims administration.
- Partner closely with the Client Management team to ensure seamless client onboarding and support cross-departmental initiatives that enhance the overall client experience
- Identify and leverage opportunities to cross-sell other GreenShield services, such as Health Services, Employee Assistance
- Programs (EAP), and Virtual Healthcare solutions, to existing clients.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the claims adjudication, insurance, or healthcare administration industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of claims adjudication, claims administration, insurance processes, and regulatory frameworks in the relevant sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies, close deals, and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level decision-makers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated track record of negotiating complex contracts and managing client expectations.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail and prioritize
- Technologically agile, adept in learning and integrating new applications and platforms
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
