THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Base Salary: CAD $67,517.00 - 84,396.00
The Licensed Insurance Advisor (LIA) will be responsible for supporting potential and existing Individual insurance clients and meeting sales and retention targets through GreenShield’s in-house sales centre. This includes new client acquisition, client retention, relationship building, and supporting cross selling and other initiatives from within the organization. This role requires a needs-based approach that puts customers first with all that they do. The position reports to the Manager, Sales & Retention, Individual Direct Channel and may have the opportunity to periodically work with other lines of business throughout GreenShield.
This role is a hybrid role with 2 days each week in our Toronto office.
Here is what the role entails.
Activities
- Connect with potential and/or existing GreenShield
Individual insurance clients to gain an
understanding of their needs and recommend a solution that best meets those
needs
- Leverage GreenShield contact strategy to engage with clients
through inbound & outbound calls and email
- Promote additional GreenShield’s products or solutions as required
- Support our clients through outbound and inbound calling whilst
providing a first-class customer experience
- Achieve sales, retention, quality, and activity targets
- Capture and provide feedback from clients to help improve GreenShield
processes, products, and services
- Accurately complete all CRM and Telephony logging activities to
support continued analytics
Continuous Improvement
- Participating in regular sales coaching session with your direct
line Manager
- Review individual performance and adjust as required to achieve
pre-set targets and goals
- Other ongoing training and continuous learning opportunities as
they arise
Industry Awareness and Compliance
- Maintain all valid LLQP licensing requirements which includes
maintaining Continuing Education (CE) credits to remain in good standing
with the regulator
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a unique
individual who is passionate about helping us create better health for all
Canadians.
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary
degree or diploma preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ year experience in sales or retention in a call center
environment
- Experience in insurance sales a plus
- Full LLQP/HLLQP for at
least two consecutive years (preferred)
- Ability to secure additional provincial licensing within the first three months of employment
- Previous insurance or financial industry knowledge
- Familiar with various insurance products (Health & Dental,
Travel) and how they provide value for our clients
- Previous experience with call center methodologies and tools
Skills & Competencies
- Able to maintain a client centric approach to your work and build
last relationships between GreenShield and clients
- Solid understanding of needs-based sales principles, soft skills,
and how to support different types of clients in a performance-driven
environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability
to work across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and
triage workloads
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills;
confident, credible and personable
- Professional with a strong and responsive approach to work in a fast-paced,
high volume call centre environment
- Strong personal integrity and work ethic; takes responsibility;
likes to be held accountable and prides themselves on their results
- Desire for continuous improvement and skilled at applying feedback
