Original job description

WHO WE ARE

GreenShield is a proudly Canadian, national non-profit health care and insurance organization, driven by our mission of Better Health for All. We believe health care is a right, not a privilege, and we are committed to improving health outcomes, advancing health equity, and building a future where every Canadian can reach their full health and well-being potential.

Through our unique integrated payer-provider ("payvider") model, we offer insurance, administer benefits, and pay claims as a ‘payer’ while offering health care services such as mental health, pharmacy, telemedicine, and chronic disease management as a ‘provider’. As a non-profit social enterprise without shareholders, we reinvest our excess earnings to directly support underserved communities. Through GreenShield Cares, we positively impacted the health and well-being of over one million Canadians between 2020 and 2025. What’s driving us now is the commitment to measurably impact an additional three million Canadians by 2030 – across mental health, essential medicines, and chronic disease management – through scalable initiatives that deliver meaningful change in pursuit of our mission of Better Health for All.

At GreenShield, our culture is where purpose meets passion and performance. Our teams work as one to deliver meaningful, measurable impact for the people and communities we serve.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Reporting to the Director of Product - Administration, the Product Manager, Administration drives the strategic development of products that enhance GreenShield+ administration capabilities. This role balances product vision, evidence-based decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on delivery support to simplify complex administrative workflows and create meaningful value for members, administrators, and the business.

You will lead the development and execution of products and services that align with GreenShield’s strategic goal of enabling efficient care, with a focus on scalable administration experiences, clear product roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of administration-focused products and services that support efficient care and align with GreenShield’s strategic priorities.
Define, prioritize, and communicate product requirements while contributing to the long-term product vision and roadmap.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions, evaluate needs, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into actionable product plans.
Communicate product strategy, decisions, and roadmaps clearly to non-technical audiences through presentations, documentation, and working sessions.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams throughout discovery, delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.
Support go-to-market planning by partnering cross-functionally to prepare teams, align messaging, and contribute to successful product launches.
Use industry trends, regulatory awareness, customer journey insights, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions.
Support QA, launch readiness, and issue triage by assessing customer impact, business risk, and launch-critical priorities.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years of product management experience, ideally in digital insurance and benefits, healthcare, or another complex and highly regulated environment.
Experience with Agile ways of working and the full product lifecycle, including discovery, validation, delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.
Experience building or managing platform products with multiple integrations and an understanding of how strong platforms enable scale and seamless experiences.
Technical fluency and comfort partnering with engineering teams to discuss architecture, technical trade-offs, constraints, and delivery options.

WHAT WE OFFER

Base Salary: CAD $94,406.00 - 142,069.00

Offer positioning: Determined using relevant experience, skills, internal equity and current market data.
Additional compensation: Eligible for a discretionary target bonus.
Total rewards: Health and dental coverage, retirement savings, paid time off and well-being support (up to $10,000 per year for mental health) and competitive time off policy.
Posting disclosures: This is for an existing vacancy.
Work model: hybrid

THE CULTURE
We believe a career should be meaningful. Not just a means to earn a living. Our culture is one where everyone's voice is heard and valued. Because that’s what it takes to create better health for all. We dare to challenge the status quo. And we’re driven by people who have challenged theirs. We believe that your workplace should empower you to be the best version of yourself. That’s why we provide a place where you can be inspired, challenged, and rewarded.

Where your growth means our growth.
Where your voice is heard and valued.
Where your work has purpose. And purpose matters.

We believe our people are critical to our overall success. Inclusivity makes us a stronger, smarter and more informed organization. Being intentionally inclusive of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences will enhance our company culture to positively impact how we support our communities. A career at GreenShield isn’t just about personal achievements, it's about making a
difference together.
