Forklift Operator

Greenhouse is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Mississauga. You’ll keep product moving safely and accurately through receiving, cold storage, staging, and shipping. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, mission-driven beverage company, where careful handling and accurate paperwork directly affect customer deliveries and product quality.

Key Performance Outcomes:

• Safe, incident-free operation of equipment, with full compliance to health and safety standards
• Trucks, trailers, and containers loaded and unloaded accurately and on time, so carrier appointments are met
• Orders staged and labelled correctly with customer name, PO#, and destination, with few mis-ships or customer rejections
• Accurate inventory records, with product rotated first-expiry, first-out
• Cold chain protected, with refrigerated product kept within temperature requirements during handling
• A clean, organized warehouse that supports efficient shipping and receiving 

Statement of Work & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move product between production, cold storage, staging, and shipping
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, following the loading plan and securing freight (for example, with load bars and wrap)
• Stage orders according to pick sheets, and label each pallet with the customer name, PO#, destination, and the required pallet paper and BOL
• Receive inbound freight, checking counts, labels, and condition, and note any damage or discrepancies on the paperwork
• Support shipping and receiving, including preparing and handling BOLs and working with drivers and carriers at the dock
• Keep inventory accurate by scanning and updating transactions in our inventory system (Cin7), and assist with cycle counts
• Rotate product by expiry date (first-expiry, first-out) and flag product that is short, near expiry, or on hold
• Protect the cold chain by limiting how long product sits outside refrigeration and following temperature handling procedures
• Handle and track pallets (including CHEP) and keep them organized and in good condition
• Complete daily forklift pre-use inspections and report any equipment issues right away
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, and follow all safety procedures
• Communicate clearly with the warehouse, staging, and logistics teams, and escalate problems early 

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid forklift (powered lift truck) certification
• 2–3 years of warehouse experience, ideally in food, beverage, or cold chain environments
• Strong attention to detail, especially with labels, counts, and paperwork
• Comfortable using handheld scanners and basic inventory software; experience with Cin7 or a similar system is an asset
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO rotation and safe pallet-stacking practices
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and to stand, walk, and work in a cold, fast-paced environment for a full shift
• Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work early mornings or additional hours when shipments require it
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality

Hourly Compensation Range: $21.00 CAD - $23.00 CAD
