Position Summary

The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing shipping and receiving activities, coordinating logistics operations, and ensuring timely and accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.This role serves as the primary owner of finished goods inventory and supports efficient warehouse operations through inventory control, reporting, and carrier coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with production, customer service, purchasing, and transportation partners to ensure inventory integrity and on-time shipment of goods.

As a team member, you can expect to:

Inventory Control & Warehouse Coordination

Perform daily inventory counts, investigate, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy
Map and organize warehouse storage locations for efficient inventory management
Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming inventory and non-inventory materials
Coordinate and conduct physical inventory counts and manage yearly audits
Ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory levels
Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and participate in 6S initiatives
Comply with safety policies and procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Partner with operations to ensure shipments are moved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner

ERP & Inventory Transactions

Process and maintain all inventory transactions within the ERP system; including all raw material consumption and finished goods production transactions
Ensure ERP transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain inventory integrity
Process warehouse transfers and cycle count adjustments
Ensure all inventory movements are accurately documented
Generate inventory reports and support inventory analysis activities

Shipping & Receiving

Perform shipping and receiving duties for the primary warehouse location and provide coverage at secondary locations as required
Prepare and maintain bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping records
Coordinate documentation and notifications for incoming and outgoing departmental packages
Verify shipping documentation and ensure compliance with customer requirements
Transport materials throughout plant manually or using powered equipment
Coordinate and complete the pre-staging of materials required for operations

Logistics Coordination

Schedule and coordinate all inbound/outbound transportation activities with third-party carriers
Prepare and issue purchase orders to transportation providers
Track shipments and communicate delivery status as required
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including TDG requirements
Monitor transportation performance and freight costs, identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and cost effectiveness

Reporting & Administration

Complete month-end inventory reconciliation and reporting activities
Support financial reporting through accurate inventory data
Maintain accurate records of all shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities
Assist with internal and external audits
Develop and maintain inventory and logistics documentation and procedures

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum 4 years of inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain coordination experience
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred

Required Skills

Strong inventory control and inventory reconciliation skills
Experience working with ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong customer-service orientation with both internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to follow-up consistently with suppliers, carriers, service providers and other departments

Certifications

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification and a forklift certification considered an asset

Compensation: Up to $75,000 per year, commensurate with relevant experience.
