Original job description

About Ground 🟢

What we do: Ground builds AI revenue agents that help consumer brands acquire customers, recover missed sales, and drive repeat purchases. We work with brands including Makeup by Mario, Goop, OneSkin, and Ghia.
Who we are: We’re backed by great customers and world-class investors, including Techstars, Ulu Ventures, FFF, Transpose Platform, and angels who have built and backed many unicorns.
Our mission: Elevating businesses worldwide by uncovering their hidden potential.

Who this role is for

You want to build a growth channel through agency relationships, community, and exceptional events. You’re comfortable reaching out to an agency founder, hosting brand executives over dinner, and turning an introduction into a commercial opportunity.

You’ll work directly with Ground’s founders and own initiatives from first conversation through execution and measurable results.

What you’ll own

Agency partnerships: Recruit, onboard, and activate agency partners that consistently introduce qualified brands to Ground. Build joint account plans, educate partner teams, and keep shared opportunities moving.
Community and events: Own intimate dinners, partner gatherings, and industry events, from guest curation and invitations to budgets, logistics, hosting, and follow-up.
Partner marketing: Launch joint webinars, content, campaigns, and events that expand our reach and generate qualified demos.
Pipeline and revenue: Work with sales to convert introductions into customers. Keep partners informed and track opportunities in the CRM.
Measurement: Reason from first principles about what will drive growth. Measure partner activity, qualified demos, pipeline, revenue, and event ROI to decide what to scale, improve, or stop.

What success looks like

Partnerships become a repeatable source of qualified demos, pipeline, and revenue, with measurable booked demos and ARR referrals from agency partners driven by your direct efforts.
Events bring the right people together and create measurable business opportunities.
You know which partners and activities drive results, and where to invest next.
Initiatives move from idea to outcome without constant founder follow-up.

Who we’re looking for

We don’t care about your title. We care about how you operate.

High agency: You create opportunities and follow through.
Commercial judgment: You turn relationships into productive partnerships. This is not a “community” role for someone who just wants to throw parties.
Strong relationship skills: You understand people’s businesses, create value, and build trust.
Taste and attention to detail: You care about the invitation, the experience, and the follow-up.
Analytical and curious: You challenge assumptions, measure outcomes, and adjust quickly. You’re comfortable with spreadsheets and dashboards to track the ROI of every event and activity you own.
AI-native: You have experience building AI agents for outreach, support, and scaling yourself.
Clear communication: You write well and engage confidently with founders, executives, and agency teams.

Backgrounds we like

3–7 years in partnerships, community, ecosystem marketing, or business development
Experience generating pipeline through agency relationships, events, or co-marketing
Early-stage startup experience in AI SaaS or B2B SaaS
Bonus: an existing network of agencies, technology partners, and consumer brand leaders

Why Ground

Work directly with the founders, build relationships across leading consumer brands, and own a growth channel with a clear impact on the business.

💡 Our values

Ubuntu: “I am because we are”
Excellence through intellectual humility
Move with urgency and focus
Challenge limits and think critically
We value differences

What we offer

🩺 Benefits: Excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage
🍁 Location: Toronto (4-5 days in office), Onsite
🌍 Offsite retreats: We’ve been to Barcelona, Munich, Portugal, and Montreal. You help decide where we go next!
🍣 Team activities: Lunches and dinners
🏝️ Unlimited PTO
🕸️ A world-class network: Learn from legendary investors, operators, and leaders, including the minds behind the venture studio that built Liquid Death, and investors from Serena Williams’ fund, Initialized, and 776 (founded by Garry Tan and Alexis Ohanian).

We keep a lean team, and this is a rare opportunity to help build a generational company. You’ll learn a lot, build cool products, and grow as we scale. We love having many voices and backgrounds shape our work and culture. And if you like steep growth curves, you’ll be part of some major milestones in the coming months! 💸🚀📈
