Original job description

We are looking for a responsible, motivated, and experienced General Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations and support our team in delivering excellent service. The General Supervisor will play an important role in maintaining food safety, product quality, cleanliness, operational standards, and customer satisfaction.

The hourly wage for this role is $19.50. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support team members during daily operations and ensure all tasks are completed according to company standards.
Maintain accurate temperature logs, food safety logs, cleaning checklists, and other required operational records.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, preparation, and temperature control at all times.
Monitor food temperatures and take corrective action when temperatures are outside safe limits.
Ensure proper rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food products to minimize waste and maintain food safety.
Conduct regular checks of equipment, work areas, dining areas, washrooms, and overall restaurant cleanliness.
Ensure all employees follow food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
Monitor product quality and ensure all products are prepared and served according to Tim Hortons standards.
Assist with inventory control, receiving deliveries, checking products, and monitoring waste.
Support staff training and ensure employees understand and follow operational and food safety procedures.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily operational requirements.
Identify operational issues and communicate them to management promptly.
Help maintain a positive, professional, and respectful work environment.
Support the Restaurant Manager with achieving sales, service, quality, and operational goals.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or quick-service environment.
Strong understanding of food safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature control.
Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and lead a team.
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
Ability to train and coach employees and ensure company standards are consistently followed.
Previous Tim Hortons experience is considered a strong asset and will be highly valued.
