Job Summary:
We're looking for a Corporate Communications Advisor to join our growing Global Communications team. This is a generalist role for someone who thrives on moving between internal communications, external storytelling, and event coordination. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Communications, you'll help bring the GDI story to life for our people, industry stakeholders, and future talent as we continue to grow as a global fashion leader.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create engaging content for our internal channels, intranet, and e-newsletter that keeps employees informed and connected;
- Support internal announcements, change communications, and town halls;
- Help evolve our internal tone of voice and keep it consistent across channels;
- Develop content that showcases our brand, our news, and our people to external audiences, including our corporate website, social media, award and recognition submissions, and more;
- Support media and PR requests and collaborate with agency partners as needed;
- Build relationships across the business to identify and develop stories worth telling, internally and externally;
- Help plan and execute corporate and social events, town halls, and company-wide meetings;
- Coordinate with vendors and agency partners on event and communications logistics;
- Contribute to the content calendar and strategy for corporate communications and events;
- Track engagement metrics and use the data to sharpen what we create next;
- Take on ad hoc communications projects as priorities shift across the function.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field;
- 3–5 years of experience in a communications role. You don't need to check every box - being curious and genuinely enthusiastic about working across teams matters more than deep specialization in one area;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for visual content;
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and curious approach;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once;
- A collaborative, resourceful mindset and a strong capacity for building relationships across the business;
- Working knowledge of digital analytics and reporting tools is an asset.
At GDI, you will be part of a growing organization that understands the importance of investing in people and offers you:
- A comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;
- A group retirement savings program with employer matching;
- Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs;
- An employee discount at Garage and Dynamite;
- Exclusive private sample sales;
- A flexible vacation policy;
- And more!
GDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.
