PAINT LINE OPERATOR

The company is currently recruiting for a Painter to join our team on the day shift. The painter reports directly to the supervisor.

Job Duties:

• Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
• Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
• Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
• Review production schedule, including special instructions
• Ensure proper paint is utilized.
• Paint all required sides of profile.
• Keep work area clean
• Maintain a safe workplace
• Ensure paint gun is cleaned
• Inspect surface finish (i.e. missed paint surfaces, overspray, etc), advise Supervisor and/or Plant Manager as appropriate.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.

Qualifications:

• Preferably a high school diploma (OSSD) or related equivalent experience
• Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Preferably minimum one year experience with painting prepping.
