The role includes participation in a Follow-the-Sun support model covering Europe and Asia, as well as planned extended-hours operations at least once per month. Close collaboration with an offshore Level 1 support team is required to continuously improve service delivery.

The individual actively proposes innovative, scalable, and industrialized solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall team efficiency. They contribute to enterprise-wide automation initiatives across multiple feature teams, including API design and development to automate IT operations.

Activities are conducted in alignment with ITIL practices, including Change, Incident, and Request Management. The role reinforces agile practices, with Scrum as the core framework, and provides technical expertise and architectural insight in the design and delivery of feature team products.

The position supports a large-scale environment of more than 2,500 servers, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Required Profile

Mandatory skills:

Advanced expertise in Linux Server Operating Systems (RHEL), including administration, lifecycle management, hardening, and performance tuning
Strong troubleshooting capabilities at kernel, process, memory, and I/O levels
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, custom health checks)
Strong development and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible, Puppet)
Proven experience with production-grade automation, API integrations, and tooling
Knowledge of volume management (LVM, multipathing) and filesystem tuning (XFS, ext4)
Puppet expertise including modular design, Hiera, environment management, and large-scale configuration enforcement
Experience with cloud-based and hybrid architectures, provisioning, and integration
Proficiency with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), LDAP integration, and authentication/authorization workflows
Knowledge of enterprise x86 hardware (HP, Dell), including firmware, BIOS, and RAID
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and related services (LDAP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, NFS) and complex dependency troubleshooting
Experience with enterprise backup platforms (e.g., NetBackup), restore validation, and disaster recovery preparedness
Knowledge of SAN, Fibre Channel storage, NFS, and multipath I/O configurations
Understanding of high availability clustering and failover mechanisms
Experience with patch management, compliance, and vulnerability remediation
Strong skills in root cause analysis (RCA) and production problem management
Contributions to open-source projects, including code reviews and documentation
Ability to work in a bilingual environment
Knowledge of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) for centralized logging
Experience with Software Factory tools (Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines) and Continuous Delivery practices

Missions

Au sein d’une équipe organisée en mode agile, la personne intervient comme membre clé dans la fourniture du support opérationnel Unix et dans la réalisation de projets d’infrastructure.
