Role Overview

You will join a team specialized in flight control systems as a systems integrator. You will be responsible for activities related to development, qualification, testing, certification and entry‑into‑service phases of flight control systems.

Responsibilities

Design flight control systems architecture to meet aircraft design requirements and objectives.
Validate and verify top‑level requirements for each flight control system.
Prepare requirements documents such as technical quotations, system schematics, Technical Requirements Documents (TRD) and Statements of Work (SOW).
Review supplier proposals, support negotiation activities, and ensure coordination and monitoring during development phases.
Ensure compliance with applicable certification requirements (FAR/CS/CAR, RTCA DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254, ARP, TSO, etc.) and internal engineering practices.
Analyze and approve new system concepts and integrate them into the aircraft (primary and secondary flight controls, control units, etc.).
Perform aircraft and system safety analyses including Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Common Mode Analysis in collaboration with Reliability, Maintainability & Safety teams.
Review and approve deliverables from flight control system suppliers.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide and gather technical information for design, development, integration and certification.
Support functions such as Production, Procurement, Logistics and Customer Support.
Participate in meetings with certification authorities, preparation of ground and flight test plans, qualification and certification documents, and support ground and flight test programs; test witnessing may be required.

Profile

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent; a master’s degree is an asset.
About 5 years of relevant experience in specification, design, development, integration, testing and certification of flight control systems.
Experience in new aircraft development (asset).
Direct involvement in the definition and certification of Fly‑by‑Wire systems.
Interest in being mentored toward becoming a design approval delegate (asset).
Team player with initiative, sense of responsibility and strong technical and commercial judgment.
Strong communication skills in either French or English depending on project needs.
Ability to work under pressure, strong attention to detail, solid planning skills and commitment to deadlines.
Knowledge of ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 processes and experience with requirement management tools.
Familiarity with RTCA DO‑160 requirements.
Familiarity with FAR Part 25 / CAR 525 / EASA CS‑25 certification processes.
Proficiency with commonly used software (MS Office) and ability to produce presentations and reports using strong analytical and communication skills.

Description Du Poste

Tu travailleras au sein d’un groupe spécialisé en systèmes de commandes de vol en tant qu’intégrateur. Tu seras responsable de diverses activités liées au développement, à la qualification, aux essais, à la certification et aux phases de mise en service des systèmes de commandes de vol.

Responsabilités

Concevoir l’architecture des systèmes de commandes de vol afin de répondre aux exigences et objectifs de conception de l’aéronef.
Valider et vérifier les requis de premier niveau des systèmes de commandes de vol.
Préparer les documents de requis, tels que les devis techniques, schémas fonctionnels, documents d’exigences techniques (TRD) et énoncés des travaux (SOW).
Examiner les propositions des fournisseurs, participer aux négociations contractuelles et assurer le suivi ainsi que la coordination durant les phases de développement.
Veiller au respect des règles de certification applicables (FAR/CS/CAR, RTCA DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254, ARP, TSO, etc.) ainsi qu’aux pratiques internes de conception.
Analyser et approuver les nouveaux concepts de systèmes, et en assurer l’intégration dans les aéronefs (commandes de vol primaires et secondaires, boîtiers de contrôle, etc.).
Effectuer les analyses de sécurité des aéronefs et systèmes : Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Common Mode Analysis, en collaboration avec les équipes Fiabilité, Maintenabilité et Sécurité.
Examiner et approuver les livrables des fournisseurs de systèmes de commandes de vol.
Collaborer avec les autres disciplines pour fournir et collecter l’information requise au bon déroulement des étapes de conception, développement, intégration et certification.
Soutenir les départements tels que la production, l’approvisionnement, la logistique et le support client.
Participer aux réunions avec les autorités de certification, à la préparation des plans d’essais sol et vol, des plans de qualification et certification, et soutenir les activités d’essais ; la présence en tant que témoin lors des essais peut être requise.

Profil Recherché

Diplôme universitaire en génie aérospatial, mécanique ou équivalent ; une maîtrise est un atout.
Environ 5 ans d’expérience en spécification, design, développement, intégration, essais et certification de systèmes de commandes de vol.
Expérience en développement de nouveaux aéronefs (atout).
Implication directe dans la définition et la certification d’un système de commandes de vol électrique (Fly‑by‑Wire).
Intérêt pour être encadré et formé afin de devenir délégué en approbation de conception (atout).
Bon esprit d’équipe, initiative, sens des responsabilités et jugement technique et commercial.
Capacités de communication solides ; maîtrise du français ou de l’anglais selon les besoins du projet.
Capacité à travailler sous pression, sens du détail, bonnes aptitudes de planification et engagement envers le respect des échéanciers.
Bonne connaissance des processus ARP 4754 et ARP 4761 ainsi que des outils de gestion des requis.
Connaissance des documents RTCA DO‑160.
Familiarité avec les processus de certification FAR Part 25 / CAR 525 / EASA CS‑25.
