Role: Technical Project Manager

Location: Vancouver, Canada (Onsite)

Long Term Contract

Role Specific Details:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Project Manager to work on multiple large scale, complex, and cross-functional programs.. You would closely work with stakeholders for planning, defining systems work scope, communication and coordination.

Description

Bring structure to one’s own work and the work of others

Drive assigned projects and take ownership for their success – in terms of project delivery,

quality, and business outcomes

Develop accurate project timelines and resource estimates as part of the project planning

process

Provide outstanding project management support including monitoring and communication

on the project progress, issues, risks, and results to stakeholders and team members

Create and maintain project and system documentation, including development and testing

procedures

Build and maintain strong relationships beyond the development team to work effectively

with technical and non-technical business partners

Analyze and resolve production issues working independently or with the support of the

development team

Review and analyze requests from business users in order to prioritize work for the team

and develop a clear roadmap.

Education

BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or

related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

Key Qualifications

6-9 years of IT work experience, including 4 or more years managing projects

Self-driven, independent, and accountable

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and intense desire to succeed and has worked with QE/DevOps Team

Ability to understand business needs, articulate trade-offs, and discuss solutions with

both business and Engineering teams

Ability to bring structure to a very ambiguous environment

Able to work independently or on a team, and in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Natural problem solver with a strong awareness of risk

Ability to juggle multiple projects within a fast paced environment and change priorities

rapidly as required by the business

Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and

tools, with a focus on infrastructure project delivery in support of infrastructure roadmaps

Applies Agile project management processes and methodologies to indicate project

status

Demonstrated experience with infrastructure project management including

consolidation, migration and refresh projects

Requirements

Requires 6–9 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years managing projects, with experience in infrastructure delivery and working with QE/DevOps teams. Candidates should be self-directed, skilled in Agile and project management methods, and able to manage risks, shifting priorities, and communication across business and engineering teams; a bachelor's degree is specified, while CSM or PMP certification is preferred.
