Company Description GTApreneurs supports entrepreneurs and small business owners in growing their businesses through structured networking, learning and coaching opportunities. The organization hosts multiple monthly business networking events across the Greater Toronto Area and virtually, with further expansion planned. Members can join exclusive referral networking groups that meet weekly, typically via Zoom, with one professional per category to maximize referrals and visibility. GTApreneurs also offers Mega Networking and Exhibitor memberships, as well as guest speaker and exhibitor opportunities for significant exposure. In addition, the President and Founder provides one-on-one business coaching, consulting, and training in sales, public speaking, business communication, and digital marketing.

Role Description The Outbound Sales Representative is a part-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with a mix of in-person activities at events, working at the company office and occasionally working remotely from home. In this role, the representative will proactively reach out to prospects and existing contacts via phone, email, social media and at in person and virtual business networking events to promote GTApreneurs’ BizX Business Expo & Conference event and solicit for exhibitor packages and guest tickets, as well as do outreach to promote events and memberships. Much of the outreach will be using an existing database of prospects and clients, other outreach will be done by meeting new people at networking events, and approaching others by phone and social media message. Overall the goal is to acquire new clients while nurturing relationships with existing clients and with new clients.

The representative will help drive attendance at networking events, support membership growth, and provide clear, professional communication about GTApreneurs’ offerings. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM or tracking tools and collaborating with the team to refine outreach strategies and sales messaging.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Inside Sales and Outbound Sales skills, including comfort with proactive outreach and closing membership or event-related sales.
Candidates should possess effective Lead Generation skills, with the ability to identify, research, and qualify prospects in the entrepreneurial and small business community.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, including clear spoken English and written English communication and the ability to build rapport with diverse business owners.
Candidates should possess basic CRM or sales tracking skills and be able to manage follow-ups, pipelines, and activity reporting.
Relevant experience in B2B sales, event promotion, or membership-based organizations is beneficial, especially within the Greater Toronto Area.
Ability to attend in-person events in the GTA, work at the company office, work independently from home, and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
Comfort with phone, email, and social media outreach, and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
