Tasks
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Supervise apprentices and bench workers
- Prepare cost estimates
- 3-4 people

Responsibilities
Read plans and prepare code-compliant layouts, then measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other building materials. Repair and renovate residences and other structures, supervise apprentices and bench workers, and prepare cost estimates.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience and 1 to less than 2 years of experience. Candidates must be willing to relocate and travel, have experience with hand tools, and pass a criminal record check.
