Responsibilities
Provide culturally based support to individuals, families, and communities, including facilitating cultural learning, ceremonies, family connections, and mental wellness activities. Coordinate referrals and crisis responses with other staff, and maintain required reports and documentation.
Requirements
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Nuu-chah-nulth cultural healing practices, front-line experience supporting Indigenous people, and training or a diploma related to counselling and recovery. Applicants should have addiction transformation program experience, awareness of Western mental health approaches, a car and valid driver’s licence, and willingness to follow the communicable disease prevention plan; First Nations experience or identity is an asset.
