Key responsibilities :
- Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion.
- Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan, covering all aspects of pre-commissioning and start-up phases through to handover.
- Prepare and/or update a comprehensive commissioning manual.
- Develop a reporting structure and accountabilities for the commissioning team.
- Plan and coordinate the commissioning/start up schedule and necessary work with third party providers.
- Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation. Correct any deficiencies found.
- Ensure compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with client and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with government agencies where required to obtain necessary approvals prior to start-up.
- Prepare client acceptance forms and ensure satisfactory sign-off is obtained. Develop comprehensive quality, environment and safety commissioning plans.
- A Senior Professional with advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Experience/ Educational Qualifications :
- 5 - 8 years of experience in Telecom engineering
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems for the railway industry
- Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree Ontario P.Eng is highly desirable
- 1 to 2 years of Railway System Engineering expertise
