Original job description
The Administrative Assistant supports the Director and management team within the ICT department. Specific duties include organizing and managing daily calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating agendas, minutes and reports, supporting staff payroll processing, ordering departmental supplies, issuing requisitions to purchase to the purchasing department, managing the Rogers Wireless account and devices, validation documentation tracking and performing additional administrative and organizational functions as required
1. College Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field of study
2. 2+ years of experience in an administrative role is an asset
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact in a professional manner
4. Strong organizational and time management skills
5. Demonstrated effective and creative problem-solving abilities, positive attitude, initiative and judgment in developing, adapting and applying processes to address problem situations
6. Demonstrated ability to work well independently and within teams
7. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and apply discretion
