Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services and Capital Development, the Director, Corporate Services provides strategic and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio of services that support Hamilton Health Sciences' clinical and corporate operations. The Director is responsible for driving service excellence, operational effectiveness, financial stewardship, employee engagement, quality improvement, and innovation while advancing the organization's Vision 2030 priorities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, customer-centered services while developing strong leadership capacity across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for Corporate Services across all hospital sites, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and responsive support services that meet organizational and operational requirement.
Provide strategic oversight on planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of Clinical & Core Housekeeping, Portering, Linen Services, Room Booking, Waste Management, , Inpatient Nutrition Services, Environmental Sustainability initiatives and other assigned corporate service functions.
Lead service planning and operational initiatives to ensure support services are aligned with clinical priorities, patient experience goals, accreditation requirements, and organizational objectives.
Oversee contracted service providers and vendor relationships, establishing performance expectations, monitoring service levels, ensuring contractual compliance, and addressing operational issues to achieve desired outcomes. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for Corporate Services; monitor financial performance, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and ensure effective stewardship of financial and physical resources.
Establish performance measures and quality improvement processes to monitor service effectiveness, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, and implement strategies to drive service excellence. Provide leadership for environmental sustainability initiatives within Corporate Services, including waste reduction programs, resource conservation efforts, and organizational environmental reporting requirements.
Partner with clinical leaders, physicians, support services, academic partners, researchers, volunteers, and external stakeholders to resolve operational challenges, support organizational priorities, and enhance service delivery across the organization.
- Master's degree preferred; post-secondary degree in a healthcare, business, administrative, or related discipline required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations.
