Original job description

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Project Coordinator leads the project team members in the execution and delivery of a variety of Chronic Pain Services. Works collaboratively with all team members and the Clinical Manager to ensure successful development, planning, implementation and program deliverables are achieved.

The Project Coordinator provides ongoing leadership in all 3 phases of the program delivery: pre-program set up/ weekly clinics and outpatient program delivery/ post program evaluation phase. The Project Coordinator ensures that program deliverables are completed on time and on budget. The Project Coordinator works with the Clinical Manager and external organizations and stakeholders to advocate treatment/proposals for patients, negotiate costs, and other patient needs. Provides leadership to the project team through facilitation, effective communication, guidance and support. Develops and implements various marketing and business programs that support the program.

Communicates with all project team members and physicians to facilitate consensus, consult, negotiate and share information, on an ongoing basis.

1. College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, marketing. web design or information systems and 3+ years related work experience
2. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
3. Working knowledge of the Automobile Insurance Act and Financial Services Commissions of Ontario (FSCO) legislation
4. Knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies and procedures, Emerges system.
5. Project management skills including Microsoft Project
6. Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows
7. Working knowledge of MS Access and Excel for statistical and business development purposes
8. Experience in developing and responding to Request for Proposal (RFP)
9. Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
10. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and take action
11. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
12. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, oral and presentation communication skills
13. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
14. Highly self motivated and directed with strong customer service orientation
15.. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
16. Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment within a hospital
