Original job description

Hammer's Heating & Cooling

HVAC Sales Representative

Location: Based in Pitt Meadows, BC, with regular travel to customer locations throughout the Fraser Valley.

Build Trust. Create Comfort. Grow with Us.

Hammer's Heating & Cooling is a growing residential and commercial HVAC company serving Pitt Meadows, Langley, and communities throughout the Fraser Valley. Since 2013, we have earned customer trust through honest recommendations, reliable service, and quality workmanship. Our approach is guided by three core values: Communication, Professionalism, and Respect.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Sales Representative/Comfort Advisor to help homeowners choose heating and cooling solutions that meet their needs, homes, and budgets. This is a consultative sales role for someone who understands HVAC and knows how to earn trust through honest communication rather than high-pressure tactics.

Hammer's will provide leads and customer appointments, but developing new business will also be an important part of your position. You will build additional opportunities through referrals, cold calling, door knocking, networking, community involvement, and relationships with local industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with homeowners to evaluate their heating, cooling, and indoor-comfort needs.
Conduct in-home consultations and gather the information needed to recommend appropriate equipment.
Present Good, Better, and Best system options.
Explain equipment features, efficiency, warranties, rebates, financing options, and benefits.
Build customer confidence through honest, knowledgeable recommendations.
Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and sales documentation.
Follow up consistently on outstanding quotes and sales opportunities.
Convert company-provided leads and appointments into profitable sales.
Generate new leads through cold calling, door knocking, referrals, networking, and community relationships.
Develop relationships with builders, property managers, real estate professionals, and other industry partners.
Represent Hammer's at home shows, trade events, and community functions.
Participate in occasional evening or weekend events when required.
Maintain accurate lead, customer, proposal, and sales records in Jobber.
Communicate sold-project details clearly to the office and installation teams.
Ensure equipment selections, project scope, and customer expectations are properly documented.
Prepare proposals that protect healthy project margins.
Follow up with customers after completed work to encourage reviews and referrals.
Meet established sales, revenue, margin, and customer-satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction trades - strongly preferred
Previous HVAC experience would be considered a great asset
Demonstrated ability to prepare estimates, present options, and close sales.
Consultative sales approach with strong listening and relationship-building skills.
Ability to explain technical information clearly to homeowners.
Comfortable generating business through cold calling, door knocking, networking, and referrals.
Experience developing relationships with builders, property managers, real estate professionals, or other industry partners is an asset.
Familiarity with Jobber, CRM software, estimating tools, or field-service management platforms is an asset.
Strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and accountable for personal performance.
Valid driver's licence and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
Ability to travel throughout the company's Fraser Valley service area.

Pay And Benefits

Full-time, permanent employee position.
$41,600/year base salary + uncapped commission | Potential earnings of $140,000+
Commission based on sales.
Strong performance-based earning potential.
Company-provided leads and customer appointments.
Additional earning opportunities through self-generated business.
Dental care.
Extended health care.
Vision care.
Paid time off.
Training and ongoing professional development.
Opportunity for advancement within a growing company.
Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend customer appointments or community events.

Why Hammer's Heating & Cooling?

At Hammer's, sales is about helping homeowners make informed decisions, not pressuring them into products they do not need. You will receive company-generated opportunities while having the freedom to increase your earnings through your own relationships and business-development efforts. You will represent a respected local company backed by skilled technicians and quality workmanship. If you understand HVAC, connect naturally with people, and want your results rewarded, this is an excellent place to grow.

Hammer's Heating & Cooling is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds and are committed to providing an inclusive and respectful workplace.
