Original job description

The Account Executive will maximize contributions for Hapag‑Lloyd (Canada) Inc. by building and maintaining a robust customer base, offering shipping products that meet client needs, and achieving volume, revenue, and contribution targets. This role works closely with internal teams to ensure timely bids, manage contracts, and resolve customer issues while supporting overall sales objectives for the 3870 CAMTR – Sales (HLWORG 6) department.

Responsibilities

Solicit new customers and develop existing accounts within the assigned market segment.
Prepare and submit commercial bids, coordinating with relevant departments to meet deadlines.
Create and execute sales plans, managing service contracts and account budgets.
Identify customer problems and route them to the appropriate internal teams for resolution.
Maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to address delinquent accounts and escalate when necessary.
Update weekly activity reports in Salesforce in accordance with company policy.
Work toward achieving area sales targets and contribute to overall business goals.
Participate in ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Travel to customer sites as needed, using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent with proven sales experience.
Excellent written and spoken English and French communication skills are mandatory.
Must be located in Montreal, and legally allowed to work in Canada.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Positive attitude with a self‑motivated approach to personal development.
Ability to follow guidelines and adhere to company policies.
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales budgets and targets.
Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
